History

Balham Blazers Youth Football Club was founded in 2001 and is based in Balham, South West London. The Blazers train at Chestnut Grove School, Penwortham School, Beatrix Potter School, Hillbrook School, Furzedown Recreation Centre and St Marks Academy, Mitcham.

Balham Blazers started with one Under 10 age group team in the London Saturday Youth Football League in 2001/02. Following on from their success more age group teams have gradually been added. This coming season, 2016/17, the club will have seventeen teams playing competitively in five different leagues.

The Blazers age group teams have all been high achieving to date winning or being runners up in 251 League and Cup competitions. The playing ethos of the club is simple: to have fun and develop individually and collectively as footballers within a group dynamic, playing good football with good technique and with consideration and respect for those you are playing with and against.
